Overview

TB-500 is a synthetic analog of the actin-binding domain of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ-4), a naturally occurring 43-amino acid protein encoded by the TMSB4X gene. TB-500 corresponds to the central actin-binding region of Tβ-4 and consists of 17 amino acids. Thymosin Beta-4 is found in high concentrations in platelets, wound fluid, and various tissues. TB-500 binds to G-actin and is involved in actin sequestration and polymerization dynamics in vitro. Each vial contains 5mg of lyophilized TB-500, verified by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) to a purity of >99%.
